Joker contacted YHC earlier in the week letting me know due to his ankle, he was going to be out of action for a few weeks and couldn’t Q (get better Joker). Was going to try to hand-off Q duties but decided against it and just Q’d it myself. Shot out a few messages letting PAX know we would EC then get even more miles. Got some HCs who all ghosted, so at 0600, YHC took off for a solo ruck through campus… now I know how Patch feels all the time at Boyd Lee and WestSide! Probably not the smartest thing to do by yourself but made my way through campus and downtown for 3.4 miles.
Got close to 0700 and zero cars at 116. Got to 6:58 and seriously thought it would be a solo workout too but Mayhem came in to save the day. Rucked-up and took off.

Warm Up
No warm-up needed, just get rucking…

The Thang
Took off towards campus via Greene, and into the West end of campus. A few weeks ago, YHC and Patch were ECing on campus and I saw that there was a parking garage attached to the new Student Center. I honestly had no idea that there was a parking garage there and I knew with it still being a construction zone, nobody has used it as a workout so Mayhem and YHC were first to lay down some sweat angels in the thing.
Starting at level 1, Lt. Dan up to the next level of the parking garage. At the top of each level, 25 low and slow squats, then rinse & repeat until we got to the top. Total of 4 levels so 100 squats and a crap load of Lt. Dans. We used the stairs to get to the bottom level. There, YHC knew we were a bit ahead of schedule so wanted to try something that Patch introduced me to last week at the Stadium… bearcrawling up all 4 flights of stairs. I felt a little bad for Mayhem as YHC told him he wouldn’t need gloves and with the stairs being new, there was stair grip on each step which didn’t feel too great on the bare hands. Oh well… got to the top, took the stairs back to the bottom. Mayhem needed to figure out how long of a walk it would take to get from the new garage to his office on campus (as he has an opportunity to park in there daily), so moseyed through campus to the Spillman building then back towards 116 via 5th Street to Greene. Back to the flag at 7:59am and another 3.5 miles logged

Moleskin
YHC was happy when he saw Mayhem pull up into 116 (and even two minutes early) because I was not looking at doing a rinse & repeat of the EC. 116 offers a great opportunity for those interested into learning more about rucking while also providing something for those more experienced or “OG” ruckers. Whether you are looking just to log some miles, or looking to carry heavy stuff, 116 will offer you both so lets get out of the fartsack and post out there as we need to boost-up numbers. YHC will see you all next Saturday! Until next time…
