When Stabler asked YHC to Q 116, I was pretty skeptical.  I’ve only rucked a few times, but he assured me that I could handle it.  YHC was told that we’d have an FNG and knew that Chimichanga wanted to try out his brand new rucksack, so a good number of PAX was expected.  However, at 6:59, neither the FNG nor Chimichanga were in sight.

The Thang
7:00 – Chimichanga comes in on two wheels, throws on his rucksack, and we were off.  The disclaimer was given as we traversed the parking lot.  We turned left onto Third Street and were met by an unfamiliar car.  Luckily, Ma Bell recognized our FNG inside it, so we turned around and went back for him.  Introductions were made and we headed back out.  At the top of the hill, we spot Mayhem. He found a parking space quickly and we continued down third street.  We made a right on Evans and a left on 4th and headed to the top of the parking deck.  We came down the stairs and headed down Cotanche to 5th.  We marched on to Library Street and followed it to the Greenway, which took us back to the Town Commons.  Ma Bell and Lynyrd Skynyrd led us through the construction zone and we followed the river walk up to 1st.  Left on Pitt Street, right on 3rd.  As we approached the flag, the clock struck 8:00.

Moleskin
Rucking is typically outside my comfort zone, but with my knee giving some trouble, it helps with the void left by not running.  Thanks to Stabler for encouraging me to Q.  The 2nd F makes it that much better.
