THE Hot Spot asked me to Q the 116 last week, so of course I had to say Aye! Pre-work out he gave me a US Cellular beverage container; water, beer, or coffee, your choice.  Thanks for the cup.  Being that this was my second time Qing I had to utilize my weinke again.

Since the Winter Olympics were still going on I figured I would do a repeat of the workout I did a couple of weeks ago fashioned after Winter Olympic events.

WARM UP

  • Sun Gods x 20 (Big and little, forward and backwards)
  • Good mornings x 15
  • Don Quixotes x 10
  • SSH x 15

THE THANG

  • Round 1 – Bronze
    • Biathlon – Short mosey around the block.  At 1st corner 5 merkins, on up PAX would extend one arm and leg, 2nd corner 10 overhead claps, repeat for other 2 corners.  Route was 3rd to Contentnea to 4th to Latham and back to 3rd.
    • Luge – 10 LBC’s in the parking lot
    • Curling  – 5 lunges each leg in the parking lot
    • Skeleton – run in place then burpee, 5 reps
    • Double’s Luge – DORA, 1 does windshield wipers while other runs to end of parking lot and back again, switch up.  Each person does 1 rotation.
    • Speed skating – curtsy lunge 10 each leg
    • Slalom – mosey to train tracks and ski jump side to side to bottom of hill, run back up.  1 rep
    • Podium – mosey to picnic tables for step-ups.  10 each leg
  • Round 2 – Silver
    • Repeat of round 1 but increase the number of reps.  Slalom was down and up 2 times.
  • Round 3 – Gold
    • Repeat of previous rounds but increase the number of reps even more.  The last slalom event was canceled due to doping allegations against the Russians, so our previous Silver was upgraded to a Gold.  The real reason was time was about up, although during the last Biathlon you could smell that someone in the neighborhood was treating their glaucoma with some herbal medicine.
  • MARY – we killed that last couple of minutes with some SSH, WW1’s, and Planking

Moleskin: Thanks to the PAX for enduring my second Q and my second version of the Olympics.  I try to make the workout seem like it’s not a workout.  My 2.0, Airwolf, said this workout didn’t smoke him but the time did fly by.  I’ll take that as a compliment.  THE Hot Spot gave me a cup for Q’ing this site, I think custom dictates a Samsung Galaxy S8 for the second time.
