YHC was the recipient of a Hiny Headlock at PAX lunch on Tuesday at Chico’s……by being in town on Friday I was an easy prospect to Q. I figured we would have a smaller PAX; however, I didn’t expect only two others to show up for the beatdown! However, 3 is better than 1…….so I modified the workout and we kinda flew by the seat of our pants. Here’s how it went.

Warm Up

We all seemed to be sore following July 4th Convergence Beatdown, so since both Cold Cut and Candy Cane were in the talkative mood, I suggested we stretch individually whatever was sore while we caught up on what each other did for July 4th.

The Thang

Took a lap around the BLP Oval, doing a BLIMP at each intersection

  • Burpees x 5
  • Lunges x 10 each leg
  • Imperial Walkers x 15 each leg
  • Merkins x 20 this was probably the toughest after all the Merkins yesterday!
  • Plank Jacks x 25 back at the flag

Next we ran over to the Rock Pile where YHC instructed each man to choose a descent size rock and walk over toward the traffic circle. One of us would run around the traffic circle while the other two performed a rock exercise. After all three of us had run, we would move to the next exercise until we were done.

  • Curls
  • Rows
  • Tricep Extensions
  • Squat Overhead Press (Lion King)

We returned our rocks to the pile and then ran through the middle of the park and over to the picnic shelter, did 15 Irkins IC. Then we went several rounds of Mary exercises in reps of 12-15.

  • Table Top Sit Ups
  • Flutter Kicks
  • 30 second plank hold
  • Box Cutters
  • Rosalita
  • Freddie Mercury
  • Downward Dog Stretch
  • Table Top Merkins
  • LBC’s

Looking at the time, we went for a short mosey back around the BLP loop and back to the shovel flag at 6:15.

Moleskin

I was admittedly disappointed when only two other PAX and myself showed up today; however, I know we have vacations and such and should be with our families. I also know that I myself have fartsacked much more than I have posted, so who am I to throw rocks, right?  However, I will say that when you have a smaller PAX……..embrace the moment. Modify your workout if needed, but enjoy the 2nd F. We did that this morning and we all got what we needed. A good recovery workout the day following a pretty tough beat down, plus some great conversation with two men that I consider to be friends. Thank you F3. I am grateful for all of you.
