  • Good Nights  x 10
  • SSH  x 15
  • Butt Kickers  x 15

The THANG

Follow me. Warm Up lap clockwise around BLP. Finish up at The Rock Pile.

Circle up. Went around the circle and each man chose Clemson or Bama.

  • Clemson – lead a Rock exercise x 5 reps
  • Bama – Elephant Walk OYO  x 5

discovered that Elephant Walks are basically a low impact Burpee for future reference to Q’s or those that might want to modify !

Returned rocks to the pile…….except 1.  INDIAN RUN around BLP and met back at the middle. The rock was placed on the water fountain and became our own version of Howards Rock! Gamecock was chosen to come forward and educate the PAX on the history of Howard’s Rock at Clemson. Long story short, if you ain’t going to give 110%, then keep your hands off my rock!!

Explained PAX would run down each of the three sidewalks and do LBC’s , Plank Jacks, and Freddie Mercuries respectively.  25 reps.  Then return to the middle and do Irkins x 10.  However, if you wanted to give 100%, then those reps could be increased from 25 to 28…….and from 10 to 11 on Irkins…….and you could rub the rock each time you passed by!  AMRAP for about 20 minutes of work.

Indian run back to the rock pile to return Howards Rock, and mosey back to the shovel flag for Countorama and Nameorama

Moleskin

Arrived this morning and thought we were having a CONVERGENCE with the number of PAX present !  Great turnout. I am really enjoying getting back to BLP. Last year at Q v Q I sprained my wrist and moved toward the running AO’s because I was staying away from anything with my hands on the ground. I ended up putting myself into a “rut” where I would do Run Strong on Tuesday, recover Wednesday, do The Rush on Thursday, and recover. Sometimes I would run on Sunday mornings, but not often.  I did manage to get into descent “running shape” in that I felt better this past year at Sasquatch 2018 than I did at Sasquatch 2017; however, I have gradually gained weight and am up to 230lbs.  So Mayhem is trying to get back to basics…….and that includes BLP.  My goal is to hit BLP on Mondays, Ruck/Run or Boot Camp Tuesday, rest Wednesday, The RUSH on Thursdays, and BLP/First Aid on Fridays, and Ruck at 116 on Saturdays.  I need more FREQUENCY while being mindful and smart about my body. Hopefully I can whittle myself back down to a more respectful 210-215 in time for summer!
