YHC had a plan in mind…. but that plan called for dry conditions. So when YHC woke up and heard the rain coming down, an audible was in the works. YHC showed up at 0438 to see Patch and Stabler waiting to EC ruck. Just the Tip joined in after our first lap around the building. During EC, YHC came up with a new plan for the 2nd half of our workout, and will save the original plan for the next time YHC Q’s at BLP. After EC, Gazelle, Erie and Bench showed up, and we had 7 PAX that were ready to roll.

Warm up

  • SSH – 15 – IC
  • Good Mornings – 15 – IC
  • Front arm circles – 10 – IC
  • Backward arm circles – 10 – IC

Mosey to the middle of the parking lot

Tha Thang

First, YHC identified two locations; the sign in the middle of the parking lot (point A), and the light pole at one of the dividing areas of the parking lot (point B). YHC instructed that we would run to point A, complete an exercise, then run to point B and complete an exercise, then rinse and repeat. The exercises were:

  • Squats – 15
  • Ranger Merkins – 15
  • LBCs – 15
  • Burpees – 15

Mosey to the rock pile and grab a rock. Some had larger rocks than others…

  • 7’s – Curls and Overhead Tricep extensions. Drop rock when finished, then move to the rock to your right
  • 7’s – Squats and Overhead shoulder press. Drop rock when finished, then move to the rock to your right
  • 7’s – PAX Choice. Stabler called bus drivers and Bench called sunrise/sunset. This combination was quickly identified as a terrible combo, but we are better for it. Drop rocks when finished.

We left our rocks in place, and then moseyed to the other rock pile to grab two small rocks each for some shoulder work.

  • Side Lateral raises – 10 IC
  • Front Raises – 10 IC
  • Bent over rear delt raise – 10 IC

Next, YHC instructed all PAX to get in a line, with plenty of room to have your arms extended. YHC decided to take something from Grammar and Vanilla’s QvQ, and instructed all PAX to do the “T-Pose”. All would hold the T-Pose, while one by one we would run to our original rocks, grab one, and return it to the rock pile. Then return and assume the T-Pose, then the next PAX would go. YHC knew this would suck, and it surely did. After all original rocks were returned, we did one more shoulder exercise

  • Shoulder press – 10 IC

Then we returned the rocks, and moseyed back to the parking lot. YHC was planning to utilize the shelter, but we quickly realized that FiA had claimed it. So another audible had to be called… Parter up for DORA. One partner does exercises while the other runs to the end of the parking lot and back. Then flapjack.

  • 100 merkins
  • 200 Squats
  • 300 LBCs

Once completed, we moseyed to the center of BLP by the bathrooms for some wall work

  • People’s Chair – PAX 10 count
  • BTTW – PAX 10 count
  • And since Stabler asked for us to do it again, we did BTTW again for a PAX 5 count

Mosey back to the flag for Mary

  • American Hammers – YHC
  • J-Los – Patch
  • Windshield Wipers – Gazelle
  • Hillbillies – Bench
  • Flutter Kicks – Stabler
  • Freddy Mercs – Erie

Prayer Requests/Praises

  • Prayer for Patch’s 2.0 to rally back from not getting the internship, and oldest 2.0 did get the internship she wanted
  • Walter Jones family
  • Praise for Patch’s M, losing 26lbs since starting Orange Theory in the last month and a half
  • Bench wanted to mention that he realized at Walter Jones funeral, with all the wonderful things that were said about him, that it makes you really think about what people are going to say about you when you are not around anymore, and that motivates you to be a better person. People will always remember a person by what they gave, not what they received.

Gazelle prayed us out!

Moleskin

It’s always a challenge to get up at post in the gloom, especially when the weather is nasty outside. Any other time YHC would have skipped this morning… but YHC had the Q and there was no way YHC was going to let Patch down. During BJ’s portion of the anniversary convergence, we all were asked to think of one word that means something to you when you think of F3. Many chose brotherhood, fitness, accountability, and several others. The PAX kept YHC accountable this morning. YHC has some personal fitness goals to meet, and YHC can always count on the PAX to be there, a true brotherhood.

If you haven’t Q’d in a while, or have never Q’d before, don’t wait for a site Q to ask you to Q. Jump in head first. Days like today are the reason I love to Q, Until next time…

Chimi Out!
