Usually (pretty much always) our dogs guard and protect their people. Well, tonight your dogs will very likely need you to guard and protect them from the sound of fireworks.

Some may already know this but, “Luke”, my daughter and son-in-law’s Golden Retriever (1yr) was petrified Saturday night at Lake Gaston, when Fireworks changed his life and ours forever. He escaped the house, ran for his life, to the point of extreme exhaustion. He was found by the road alive, taken to a Vet in Wilson, eventually transferred to NC State where they had to put him down early yesterday morning. “Luke” was in essence their, “baby”. We all can relate to how it is to lose a loved one. It hurts to our core.

Guard and Protect and Love your Pet…tonight
