Abu asked YHC if I would be interested in organizing the 9/11 convergence for F3ENC and I told him it would be an honor.  I sought some input from veteran PAX and agreed to have 3 workout options. A run centric, ruck and mall walker group. In the spirit of invigorating leadership in our community, 3 great Q’s were chosen. Noonan, who has been emerging as a leader would lead the run group. Seal who has delivered some epic beatdowns in Farmville would lead the ruck group and the one and only Charlie Brown (respect) would lead the mall walker/mumble chatter group.

EC run and Ruck groups were well attended and we were ready to go at 0530.

Warm up – Bench

9 – SSH IC

11 – Merkins IC

PAX convened to their respective groups.

Run group Noonan:

“First 20 minutes we ran 2 miles and drew out 9/11 on the map.

Then 19 minutes running up the stairwell and back down the ramps. We did 9 to 11 (some did less and majority got 9 and a couple got 11 times up the stairs) and down then down the 6 ramps.

There are 4 sets of stairs we went up 11 times which equals 44, for the 44 that lost their lives taking down flight 93. It was an honor and pleasure to lead the PAX in such an important day to never forget!!”

Be Safe

Moleskin: September 11th, 2001 has had profound impact around the globe. In the immediate aftermath we saw incredible acts of courage, kindness and patriotism. Many people came back to the church and others put more of a focus on family life.  Our troops have been putting their lives on the line defending our freedom around the world. The best thing we can do to honor their lives now is make good on our freedom and safety. Take the time to love each other today. Take a moment to be kinder today. Say a prayer of thanks for the great nation we’ve been privileged to live in, where we can still speak, worship, prosper and create. Let us have the resolve to preserve it. YHC came across the message below, if you have some time over the next few days to marinate over these words I encourage you to do so. We Will NEVER Forget!

Until next time, Bench out!
