It’s been months since YHC posted in the gloom. A combination of baseball, late nights, some traveling and a very strong fartsack has kept me away for too long. I’ve thought about F3 all summer and the boys in the gloom but beating that fartsack is hard to do sometimes. It changed today. Months ago, I had contacted Spalding about Q’ing the new AO (it was new at the time). He put me down for August 10. It’s been on my mind for months. A few days ago I started thinking about where to go and what to do. Came up with a plan, showed up at 05:05, saw nobody but myself and Hometown, then twenty some more Pax came driving and running up. We circled up, which Tonka quickly let me know we didn’t do at this AO, but we did anyway. Gave some directionally challenged directions and the Pax was off.

Warm Up – start running

The Thang

We moseyed down the bottom lot, right on Charles, left on 14th, left on Dickinson Ave, left on Hooker Road and ended up at Guy Smith Stadium. The directions were to come back for the six at each stoplight. Once there, we gathered into groups of other Pax with similar speed, making one big loop around the complex (0.5 miles) at your best half mile speed. Once finished, come back for the six.

Next we moseyed to down Hooker Road, not looking for Hookers … We ended at Rose High, got to the track, made one lap of moseying the curves and fast jogging, or yogging Tonka? the straight aways. Gathered at the gate, moseyed down Arlington, left on Evans, right on the greenway and made it back to the flag (thanks Aquaman!) right at 06:15. When we got back we ran into the boys from #FirstAid and some ruckers.

Moleskin

Over the last few months I’ve seen on twitter many new faces at F3. The growth is awesome. Continue to headlock men in the community. It was great to meet new faces today and reunited with old ones. It’s always amazing how long it takes to make progress sometimes but how quickly you can lose it by being out for a while. I learned the hard way today. My legs are shaking as I’m writing this by the way. Look forward to being back out there much more again soon.
