The Sasquatch is special. ENC Pax love it because for many of us it was our first CSAUP and it marked a big stepping stone for our region. Other Pax came to love Sasquatch because of Papa Smurf. As it has grown the impact of this simple CSAUP has raised a couple of thousand dollars split between ALS and Ainsley’s Angels. A lot of good stuff has happened and what does that have to do with the mission of F3? YHC got a little insight into that by not running and supporting those who were running. Let me explain.

In every CSAUP there comes a point where YHC questioned himself. The mirror was right in front and YHC could not look away. Every vulnerability, doubt and insecurity was there to see and to push through. What happens is a LEADER steps in at these times. This is a brother who has faced, would face or is in the middle of his own momement and he says, “Come on! You got this! You’ve only tapped 40%! Embrace it! Come on man almost there!” or some version of this. Since taking the Red Pill YHC has been in lots of these moments as a receiver and giver. Being part of the Support Crew for Sasquatch YHC got a different perspective. Seeing these moments take place, giving encouragement from start to finish, while not dealing with the suck, YHC experienced a humble gratitude. Doing the hard thing time after time is not easy and yet men show up for each other and not just for CSAUPS. They show up in the gloom and for 2nd or 3rd F events for their families, communities and each other.

Being of Respect age there are times when I’ve questioned, heck even feared, what I was getting myself into. The Sasquatch was the first such event followed by many more since. The opportunity to SERVE gives each post and CSAUP a real pespective. YHC knows there will be other challenges. The greatest is to get up each day, smile and jump into life knowing that I am part of a brotherhood that makes me look within and say, “I can do this. I’m not alone. It doesn’t get easier and I’m stronger”

T-Claps to all who participated. Thanks for giving all of us the privilege of being a part of this  brotherhood.
