Six pax met up at Eagle’s Ridge to start the day off right and the mumble chatter was strong from the start. Charlie Brown impressed us with his school spirit and confessed his undying loyalty to the Pirate Nation and Minnesota Fats was quick with the jokes to keep us laughing….Fellowship achieved.

We started out with the normal warm up to get the mind and body right and then we had a minute or two of stretches to help stave off injuries. We then moseyed to the concrete benches and assumed a plank erkin position while rotating active erkins x 10. Once we made it through the line I made the call to rinse and repeat. We switched to dips and proceeded down the line alternating one person doing 20 dips while the other pax held the dip position. That was no fun so to make things worse we changed to the derkin position on the benches and went down the line holding the derkin plank while alternating active derkins x 20.

From there we moseyed to the exercise playground and did a choose your own exercise for 1 minute. We then did an Indian run around the 1/3 mile loop. After the Indian run we moseyed to the stairs near gate 6 and paired up for some team exercises. Each pair of pax would alternate running up and down the staircase to relieve their partner in exercises. The pair was responsible for 100 merkins, 200 LBCs and 300 hallelujahs. Net we moseyed to the picnic tables and did 10 back extensions from the tables. After that we had a race between two teams of three pax. At the start each team would send one pax to the next light pole and back hopping (lunge to modify). The remaining pax were doing squats until it was there time to go the distance and back.

After the jumping race we went to the tunnel of love for some time in the people’s chair. We held the people’s chair while doing extended arm flutters for a 10 count per pax. We then moseyed to the pirate statue for a minute of step-ups on the bench. Finally, we returned to the circle for stretching. Fitness achieved.

While stretching in the circle we were tasked with thinking of someone we could help today, someone who was in pain, lonely or needed help. What could we do to help make things better for someone and tio serve as a positive force in our family, peer group or community. We then prayed. Faith achieved.
