EC Ruck – Chimi, Stabler, Just the Tip, and Haavaad. Haavaad had to head out early for.a meeting. Noonan EC ran solo.

Noonan reached out to YHC a few weeks ago wanting to see if I could jump on the calendar in August for First Aid. Of course I jumped at the opportunity and grabbed the first day available, which happened to be the first Friday in August. As the EC group returned from an EC ruck/run, a group was already gathered around the flag. 0530 came and 11 of us circled up and it went something like this:

Warm Up:

  • SSH – 15 – IC
  • Good Mornings – 15 – IC
  • Merkins – 10 – IC
  • Arm circles (front and back – 10 each way – IC

Tha Thang:

We moseyed to the stairs for a quick round of 7’s to get the blood pumping a little bit. Using merkins and WWII’s, we did one round (1 rep/6 reps) then went up the stairs before starting the second round (2 reps/5 reps), We repeated this until we finished our 7’s.

Next, we moseyed to the Minges Meadow. As soon as we arrived, the sprinkler system turned on. That wouldn’t prevent us from a little bit of bear crawlin! YHC found a lane off to the side where we would stay dry. YHC explained we would Indian bear crawl to the end of the meadow. All would be in plank position, and then the last person in line would bear crawl to the front and resume plank position. We repeated this until we go to the end of the lawn. Once at the end, we lunged all the way back, stopping at each light pole for 5 squats each.

Nexts we moseyed down to the lower Minges lot for a round of B.L.I.M.P.S. We would stay together throughout, and do most of the exercises in cadence. We would run to each of the 6 light poles to complete the exercises:

  • Burpees – 5
  • Lunges – 10
  • Imperial Walkers – 15
  • Merkins – 20
  • Plank Jacks – 25
  • Squats – 30

Once completed, we moseyed to the big hill at the lower lot. The PAX did 2 burpees, and then bear crawled up the hill, completed 10 WWI’s, and then crab walked back down the hill.

Moseyed back to the flag for some Mary
