Oval Office 12/13/2019

I learn something almost every time I post and certainly every time I Q.  Often it is something about myself and my abilities or lack of ability.  Today, my home boy Angus showed up, and we both grew up in northern Pitt County in a crossroads community called Belvoir. Angus told me it is French for “beautiful view” and that was the first thing I learned.

Footloose is transitioning #ovaloffice after the first of the year.  He has done an outstanding job creating an idea and putting it into action to create a really great AO.  He truly has an entrepreneurial mind, and F3 is better with him in it.

Now, on to my Q!

Warm up with 800 m run around the track and go back for the 6 at the end.

The Thang:

Part 1:  Fartlek….4 laps of race pace the straights and jogging the curves

Part 2:  Ladder:

  • 400 m fast pace followed by 400 m cool down
  • 800 m fast pace followed by 400 m cool down
  • 1600 m fast pace followed by 400 m cool down
  • 800 m fast pace followed by 400 m cool down
  • 400 m fast pace followed by 400 m cool down

Any time left is individual choice run around the track until 6:15

COT:

  • Prayer requests: Praise for Angus’ sister (she has been bedridden with cancer, but had a good month and able to go watch her daughter play basketball), job searches for The Closed Hand and Half Pipe, support for Soul Train, Shake and Bake’s injury during his training for an ultra, praise for Arkansas and the positivity in his life to continue, the folks on the Hamster wheel this weekend in Raleigh
  • Announcements:  Footloose will make an announcement next week about the new AO Q for #OvalOffice, Aquaman and Stringbean will host their annual “Truth and Dare” at #TheGoodFight next Thursday, lunch at Zaxby’s today, plan to feed the hungry with your F3 brothers and your family on the morning of December 21 in Grimesland
  • Moleskin:  I learned several other things along the way this morning besides the French meaning of Belvoir.  I learned about some of our brothers struggling.  I learned about one brother’s past struggle, but praise for him turning it around into a success!  I am so glad we have guys to share that.  Others going through a struggle can see that and gain some confidence.
