Tonka called at the end of his 14-hour work day, around 8:15 PM, on Monday to ask YHC if I could Q for him. Anytime I get the opportunity to Q I take full advantage. No problem Tonka, I got you covered. I pulled up to a good size crowd at 5:20 and the cars kept piling in. 27 total. Awesome crowd!

Warm Up

20 SSH IC

20 Squats IC

10 High Knees IC

The Thang

Run to the intramural fields behind the Carol Belk Building by way of: Elm to 14thto Charles (roughly 2 miles)

Line up, count off by 2 to get 2 groups, and we did sprints from rock to rock (rocks YHC placed in the field that were about 30 yards apart.

To work our core and our speed in a different way, I told the PAX to start from a certain position and on my “Ready, go!” sprint to the other rock. We went down and back for each starting point totaling 12 sprints.

1) Burpee (minus the jump)

2) On 6 straight legs out, hands on knees

3) Lying down on stomach

4) Lying down on back

5) On knees

6) 3-point stance – this is where the stopwatch came out – a PAX member from Group 2 had the fastest time. #nonames

We have 15 minutes left to get back to the flag. Take the route that will get you there by 6:15. Some PAX decided to cut through the baseball stadium/Olympic complex but hit a dead end from all the construction. Some decided to jump the fence while others decided against it and turned around and got in some more mileage. Ain’t that right Mayhem and Gamecock. Mostly everyone got back to the flag at 6:15. The 6 arrived by 6:18. A quick COT, naming of our FNG, prayer requests, prayer, pic, and we were out.

Prayer Requests: Belly Dancer’s dad, Matlock’s wife’s brother’s cancer that metastasized to his brain, Hot Spot’s C12 brothers and sisters
