Goggles – Round 1

My first round started with a planking Indian drill with no-surrenders. The entire PAX held the full plank position. Starting in the down/rest position, I gave the “up” signal and everyone assumes the full plank. The PAX at the rear then completed 5 no-surrenders, returned to the full, up, plank position, and gave the “down” signal. After a brief (approx. 5 second) rest, I again gave the “up” signal, and the next PAX completed their no-surrenders. This continued until everyone had completed their no-surrenders.
The next exercise was 5 Wing Nuts, in cadence –  sitting on picnic table, feet under bench, leaned back to approx. 15 degrees with back and neck straight, fists touching in front of chest so that elbows point parallel with shoulders, rotate waist so that each elbow touches the table top.
The next exercise was 5 Ninny-knockers, in cadence – sitting on picnic table, leaning back on elbows, toes pointed to the floor so that entire body is a straight line. The “1” count is bring knees as close to your chest as you can, “2” is to extend with your toes pointing straight to the floor, “3 and 4” is repeat.
To finish that last few seconds of the round, we did uppercut jabs from the squat position, isolating the lower abs.

Michelin Man – Round 2

Partners of 2, one did 15 squats other did 15 side straddle hops. When pax finished exercise, we wheel barrow crawled the width of the football field. When pax got to the other end of the football field, we swapped exercises and wheel barrow crawled on the way back. After we finished, we lunged for the six.
Goggles – Round 2

My second round started with demonstrating Alternating Ninnie Knockers from a plank position. Holding a full plank, bring the right knee as close to the chest as possible, then extend it directly behind you with toes pointing straight out. Concentrate on maintaining the proper plank form. Hold plank position. Repeat with left leg.
We then completed a Ladder Up – 5/10/15
Wing Nuts, in cadence
Ninnie Knockers, in cadence
Alternating Ninnie Knockers, in cadence
Freddy Mercuries, in cadence
Next exercise was 10 Good Mornings to give the abs a little break
Final exercise was Ninnie Knockers on your own until time expired

Moleskin:
Michelin Man:  The soggy football didn’t stop us from getting after it! I think it made everyone appreciate a hot shower. Thanks to everyone that showed up, I enjoyed being co Q.

Goggles:  I chose these exercises because I believe if a man gets his core in shape, everything else will follow, and my personal experience is that I can’t do enough sit-ups to make a real impact without rubbing sores on my tailbone. We didn’t plan this ahead of time, but Michelin Man’s two sessions fit together well with mine, since his focused more on upper & lower body strength and cardio, giving our abs a little relief. My goal was that no one would feel their abs hurt or burn while we exercised, but will experience their core feeling tight for the remainder of the day. Fun workout in the cool, damp morning with a great bunch of guys!
