After a solid beat down the day before on The Sasquatch, YHC knew that this day needed to be a day of recovery for most.  So, THE BOX was created to accommodate whatever level of activity a PAX was looking for.  THE BOX simply put was 1st St, Greene St, 5th St, and Reade St.  PAX had the choice of running these streets the whole time or any street or area inside this box.  This kept us “together” in a sense the whole time.  Some decided to push it to the limits, insert Captain Obvious here, to see how many miles they could get in.  Other PAX broke off in groups for recovery day.  YHC made every effort to find each group at some point to have some mumblechatter with them, which turned out to be a great experience.  The opportunity to talk with PAX that you may not normally get to made the weekend for me.  Between The Sasquatch and The Commons it was a successful weekend of the First F and the Second F.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • Tortoise and his family with the passing of his grandmother
  • Half-Pipe’s M with job interviews
  • Cold Cut safe travels
  • Noonan taking over as our fearless leader

As we went to close with prayer YHC let it be known that he is not the best speaker, such as Tonka, or prayer, such Fruity Pebbles or Bearded Jester.  However, I am a firm believer that each and every day you should laugh and at some point have your emotions move you to tears.  Well, on the way to The Commons the moment of tears happened for me early.  Vince Gill singing Go Rest High on that Mountain came on the radio and this is the song that I replayed for the PAX.  If you have never heard the song listen it to it.  It speaks wonders to you as you can relate it to the passing of someone close to you, the passing for Jesus for our sins, and the words of “Go to heaven a shouting, Glory for the Father and the Son”.  But hold up……let’s not wait to go to heaven a shouting…..let’s shout here on earth and let everyone know about the glory of the Father and the Son.
