This was my first time Qing The Landing Strip. Glad to have the opportunity. Arrived at 5:00am. Mud Tire was there waiting. Planted flag. Other PAX arrived. 7 total. Started promptly at 5:15am. I’m no Tony Robbins but I tried to get the guys motivated.

Warm Up

  • I– Imperial Walkers x 15
  • R– Russian Twists x 15
  • S– SSH x 15

The Thang

Moseyed to entrance at Market Street where we began a Zombie Walk with Burpees. Zombie Walk towards the airport. At each light pole we did 5 Burpees. 5 poles total. One light kept going out and some PAX said if it was out they would skip it. Luckily the light came on and we finished.

Continued with an Indian Run to the large soccer field beside indoor pool.

Deductions- Start at soccer goal with 10 Merkins, ran the length of the soccer field to other goal (100+ yds), did 10 WWII sit ups, ran length of soccer field back to starting point. Continued exercises deducting one after every round until you hit zero. Those who finished ran with the 6 until completion.

Continued with a run around the complex stopping at the concession building between ball fields.

10 minutes left so we did the world famous Conch Crawl™ around the concession building.  Crab walk 10 paces, flip, 2 merkins, flip, bear crawl backwards 10 paces, flip to crab walk, rinse and repeat.  One lap around concession building.  Thanks Conch Fritter!
