YHC really enjoys having the opportunity to Q at The Rush. It’s a great AO with lots of opportunities for different workouts and activities. Typically I like to move to these different locations but when working on my weinke earlier in the week, YHC decided to keep the beatdown on the football field and track today. 10 PAX decided to join post for a little Friday Night Lights Beatdown on a Thursday Morning and it went a little something like this…

Warm Up
Side Straddle Hops x 11 IC
Good Mornings x 11 IC
Mountain Climbers x 11 IC
Hallelujahs x 11 IC

The Thang

Moseyed over to the track. Nice warm-up Indian run for 1 1/2 laps around the track

Partner up for a tire drag race. One partner would drag the tire roughly ½ lap to where their partner would be waiting to do their ½ lap. The waiting partner would perform LBCs OYO until the tire got to them. Rinse & Repeat

PAX moseyed to the endzone and divided into two teams for a bear crawl relay race. Each partner would bear crawl to the 30yd line, around the cone and back to the endzone where the next PAX would go. This continued until the last member of each team remained as this would serve as the surprise anchor leg, where that PAX member had to bear crawl all 100 yards to the opposite endzone. Mayhem and Gamecock were the anchor legs for each team. 100 yards is a tremendous amount of ground to cover while bear crawling so the remaining PAX members walked by their sides to cheer them on to the endzone. Due to a tennis court injury suffered at Sandlot a few weeks back, Mayhem modified with lunges while Gamecock did easily 70 yards of bearcrawl before converting over to lunges and we had a photo finish at the end!

Partner Up for Bo Jackson 300s
Start in the corner of one end zone.
Each team performed 300 LBCs, 300 Air squats, 300 Merkins
One partner performs the exercise while other partner runs to the opposite goal line and back by looking like how Bo Jackson ran in the old school video game Tecmo Bowl.

From starting in the corner of the endzone, run to opposite side of same end zone and perform 3 burpees, then sprint to the 50yd line on the opposite side of the field to perform 4 more burpees, then sprint to the 10yd line (opposite sideline) for 5 more burpees, then sprint to the other corner endzone (opposite sideline) for 5 more burpees. Then sprint back to your partner. The numbers of the burpees represent Bo Jackson’s football number (34) and the player he ran over heading into the endzone on a MNF game, Brian Bosworth (55). Partners switch. Running partner continues the exercise count while other partner runs. Partners combine to complete 300 of each exercise. PAX ended with performing roughly 51 burpees.

Ended the workout with about 700 calories burned and over 3.5 miles.

Moleskin

Great push by all PAX today with a good amount of mumblechatter up until those Bo Jackson 300s. The Rush is a great AO and it was great to see the numbers of PAX today who posted high. If you have not posted there or have not posted there in some time, please do yourself a favor and post, you won’t regret it! Until next time…
