YHC reached out to Belly Dancer and asked for a date to Q.  I would encourage all PAX to MAKE THE CALL…….don’t wait to be shoulder tapped. One great thing about Qing is you get to choose what you do! I wanted to get inn some mileage, but also need to work on this waistline, so a mixed bag workout was in order.  Arrived in plenty of time with Gamecock to put out both the Booty Flag and the Mayhem Flag. Had some quick 2nd F and started promptly at 5:30am.

The Thang

It didn’t take long for Skipper to notice that I had my gloves with me. I had promised him mileage and I guess he thought it might have been a bait and switch!  “Follow Me” as we started to run the perimeter of Rose High.

  • 5 – Burpees OYO at the Tennis Courts
  • 10 – Jump Squat Holds  IC at Marvin Jarman Woad
  • 15 – Merkins OYO at the NE corner of Rose High Parking Lot
  • 20 – Plank Jacks OYO at the front Arlington entrance

Run back to the shovel flag; circled back for the six in between exercises so that we all did them together.

  • 1 – Burpee for Moses

Run to the Soccer Field in search of Hat Trick, who we haven’t seen at a beat down in some time!  YHC pulled out the Weinke to not only remember the four exercises, but also to show the PAX that he wasn’t making this stuff up as we go! Next exercise……4 Corners:

  • 25 – Irkins on the benches around the tree
  • 30 – Mountain Climbers
  • 35 – Butt Kickers
  • 40 – Imperial Walkers

At this point we had about 2 miles give or take a few depending on if you were the six or not.  YHC had the PAX run to the Rose High Track and instructed them we would run Horseshoes, and do the following exercises in the final turn of each lap:

  • 45 – American Hammers
  • 50 – Squats
  • 55 – Flutter Kicks
  • 60 – LBC’s

After that we had a few minutes left. Why waste it with MARY when you can ADD more MILEAGE!  100 yard sprints with about 20 sec rest in between runs. I think we did 8 and had a quick mosey to the shovel flag by 6:15.

Moleskin

Today was a fun workout. We kept the PAX together and enjoyed some good conversation along the way. I feel like every AO has a personality and TheRush is an AO where you know you are going to get in some mileage, but at the same time, you never know what else you are going to get.  Many ways to mix up the Q. Seen us doing 4 corners, partner carries, bleacher work, bench jumps. Seen us run around the Rose campus, soccer field, track, across the street to River Birch, right on Arlington several miles, or left on Arlington and crash the Clydesdales!  Regardless of what we do, it seems to always be a good push with 6-12 men who come ready to get after it. It was that way when Skipper, Hometown, G String, and Hat Trick were all regulars and started this AO, and we want to maintain the pain. The best way to assure the AO is run the way you would like is to step up and Q.  See Belly Dancer to round out September and be ready to step up the last quarter of 2018 as well.
