This goes back a month or so ago for those of you that have not heard the story… We are driving (actually Muggsy was) down the road and my M said oh yeah I got this text several days ago I think it’s for you. It basically asks her to Q #TheRush. The phone number is somewhat unfamiliar because it’s not local. Knew that Mayhem was wanting YHC to Q, but it wasn’t his or Gamecock’s. Soon found out it was Belly Dancer’s, texted him back, but was unsure how all this happened. To summarize several texts, I sent him one from her phone about something a year or so ago and that was the number he had. Knew the Q was coming up, it was initially for last week, but he had someone else lined up. Figured the text was forgotten, till he sent another one this week to YHC, this time. Had a few things in mind, but several PAX wanted to log some miles and the plan was adapted again. No Mayhem or #BootyFlag in sight so we got after it like this…

The Thang

We set out to the 10s courts at River Birch. Aquaman was not aware of the courts back there, he thought we were going to the courts that were not there any more in the front of the park. Once we arrived, run once around all the courts then pickup the six. We headed back out in between the softball fields.

This is where is gets interesting… Once ALL the PAX were in close proximity, YHC announced the next route was to head to the Greenway, take the first right, go up the hill, and around the ECU practice soccer fields. YHC was slightly ahead of Rafiki, but once up the hill he was no where behind YHC. Started to think that maybe the rest of the workout would be done OYO! Then a few lights were spotted and five of the PAX joined YHC. Come to find out at the end, Rafiki didn’t go up the hill because he thought it was a “campsite???” Spalding tried to plead with him, but ended up following him. Then like a train going off the tracks, Wimpie and Hot Spot followed them…

The next instruction was to head back out toward Evans, take a right and then left onto Howell (after all the Duplex’s). Return for the six on Howell to look at time and determine where to go next. We passed South Greenville Elementary where several other fields were seen. Due to time, we took a left onto Hooker and the next direction was to take a left onto Marvin Jarmin. Unsure which gate might be open or if the PAX would go the way YHC did, we returned for the six. We ran down Marvin Jarmin only to find no gates open, but found an opening in the fence by the school and took the sidewalk around while passing the football field and soccer fields. We returned for the six, once the wondering PAX were found.

Moleskin

As mentioned earlier, several plans were had, but wanted to meet the majority of the PAX goals. Especially after Wimpie and Mr. B had out on #BlackOps that they wanted 6 miles. I insured they would get at least 4 @ TheRush. The plan was simple, but execution is tough… The goal was for PAX to go to destination and get more work going around sports fields/courts while the six came in. This somewhat happened, but not to the perfection I thought it might. I got 4.6 miles and enjoyed being out there with several other PAX that are training for events!
