This Q was pushed back a couple times due to injury and to a double-booking so YHC was looking forward to finally Qing again at The Rush on this cold March morning. 6 more PAX pulled into JH Rose including Pocahontas from Greensboro who was making his second visit to the The Rush. Told the PAX that YHC would be re-creating a route that String Bean did several months ago. As 5:30am quickly approached, YHC did a quick disclaimer and gave the route. At that time, here comes Strokes on two wheels in his ice cream truck — still have no idea how that thing is allowed anywhere near a school campus ;) So a total of 8 PAX were now off for the Tour de String Bean…

The Thang

Coming out of the Rose parking lot;

Right onto Arlington

Right onto Hooker towards Guy Smith Stadium

Right onto Memorial Drive

Right onto Stantonsburg and over the overpass

Right onto Evans Street

Right onto Arlington and back to the flag

PAX would circle back for the six at the following stops; Guy Smith, Stantonsburg, Evans and Arlington

Got back to the flag right at 6:15am where Grammar and Strokes had to leave. Most PAX had between 4.7-5.1 miles

Moleskin

YHC has been away from the running AOs since my recent back injury so even though I was a bit hesitant to get out there and post this morning, it was good to get some mileage in with my fellow PAX and appreciate the push as always. Got some good mileage in on this brisk morning. Tour de String Bean is a nice little route and that overpass has a great view in the morning but that climb will kick your butt for sure ;) Until next time…
