My time got cut off during the Mule Kicks of Round 2. YHC realized that I started my watch after
Bad Boy started his. He told the PAX that he would keep track of time, and his watch trumped
mine. The PAX were glad to stop the Mule Kicks, and so we moved on. It created some great
mumblechatter as I thought I had more time.

Easter Egg Hunt

  1. In an effort to prepare the PAX in defeating their children in upcoming easter egg hunts, a competition was set forth.  Easter eggs were secretly planted in a well lit field.  These Easter eggs were filled with slips of paper on which an exercise, number of reps, and words of inspiration were written.  The PAX was split into three teams.  Each team member had to complete the reps before the team could open another egg.  The really interesting thing is that YHC’s team won, which is strange considering I hid the eggs and came up with the rules.  The PAX were thoroughly motivated and basked in air of motivation that was presented by the Q.

Tennis Court Work

  1. Backwards Run down and back then 10 Burpees
    1. I honestly thought I may have killed my first PAX today.  Dancing Nancy was running backwards and hit the net.  We often use terms like, beatdown, or destroy when referring to the PAX but actually killing a PAX is not a good idea.  Fortunately, our tripping Billy jumped up after faking his own death and quickly cut through the air of concern that was spreading across the PAX.  Nice one Dancing Nancy!
  2. Forwards run down and back x2 then 10 Sumo Jump Squats
  3. Frogger down (at which Bambino is an exceptional athlete) then 10 Merkins

Moleskin: From Abu:  Today was freaking awesome! Bad Body is a genius for starting this Q vs. Q challenge.
I could be wrong, but I believe today was a PAX record at #TheSandlot. Thanks for those who
showed up for both #BROGA and then stayed for the beatdown, especially Charlie Brown with
his partner in crime Shrimp being a no show. It was an honor to go up against our first 1 st F Q
and endure his mumblechatter. I had such a good time planning and executing this workout
today. Don’t wait for Bad Boy to reach out to you. Challenge someone and get on the calendar.

From Tonka:  I don’t often get nervous when I Q or pour large amounts of time into planning but this one made me feel the way that I felt early on .  This journey is about progression and our appointment of Abu as the 1st F Q was certainly a progression from when I held the position.  Not only is he a mustang, but he is motivating, engaging, a master EHer, and he has a library of exercises in his brain a mile long.  So I knew that I had to get creative and really prepare and execute.  In the end, it doesn’t matter who wins but I can honestly say that the challenge forced me to revisit the basics.  I wrote out my weinke, I visited the AO to recon, and I was intentional about engaging and motivating the PAX.  Sometimes, a little competition is exactly what we need in order to raise the bar.  I would encourage you all to challenge someone and get on the schedule at #Sandlot.  It is a great format and the AO is impeccable.
