Cousin IT threw down a new stretch of road last week, which made YHC realize there are other roads (or paths) to take than the most common.

0530 popped up on the watch and it was time to go – I promised 5 miles.  Left out of park and left on Church St. Follow the route Cousin IT took us down last week, which meant we were running all the way down Church St.  Circle back for the six at the entrance to the infamous subdivision where the streets have no name.  YHC gave directions to keep running straight on Church St to the stop sign.  Here’s where the stupidity ensued, I informed the Pax (mainly Grammar-who hates off road adventures) that we were crossing the ditch and running through the forest.  Calm down…turn right on Reedy Branch Rd.  Once we got to Old Hwy 11, YHC stated for safety reasons, we were going to run on the Rail Road tracks to avoid cars.  Again, Mumblechatter!  Straight across Old Hwy 11 and continue on Reedy Branch to HWY 11, this is where we all felt like we were definitely in the country.  The smells and cool temps brought back memories of early mornings in the mountains of the BRR.  Finally we reached the Moose Lodge and instructions were given to run through a neighborhood to the Armory.  We had to get on the Old HWY 11 after all, but only for about a 1/4 mile or so.  Take a right on Laurie Ellis and then left on Church St. back to the flag.

The PAX agreed the route was good and being in the country soaking up all of God’s glory was a morning well spent!

Count-a-rama, Name-a-rama (almost missed Gazelle, luckily he can deal with lack of oxygen better than YHC). Prayer Requests.  Multiple requests were given for PAX family members and friends and students.

Thanks Die Hard for the opportunity to Q!
