YHC started planning this beat down after attending Coach Mo’s Q this past weekend. Seeing the Pirates pull through in the end to get the win gave me some inspiration. It went something like this:

Warm-up:

  • SSH
  • Good Mornings

YHC called a slight audible and decided to get some miles in before the planned beatdown. Like Forrest Gump says, “I just felt like running”.

Thang:

  • The run started at the main parking lot – moseyed to the intersection with Ange St. – WW1 – moseyed down Ange St. to Laurie Ellis Rd. – Die Hard lead us in LBC’s – moseyed down Laurie Ellis Rd. to Church St. – Grammar lead us in American Hammers with Hallelujahs in between – moseyed down Church St. to Cooper St. – WW2 – then moseyed down Cooper St. to Ange St. – then down Ange St. back to the main stage. This loop is about 1.8 Mi. and is a tour of some of the State Maintained Roads around Winterville.
  • P- Pattycake merkins with the wall
  • I- Imperial Walkers down the parking lot
  • R- Reverse Crunches
  • A- ATM’s (15 Alt. shoulder taps, 10 slow merkins, 10 fast merkins)
  • T- Tunnel of Love (Since it was just the three of us, two would hold plank while the other ran to one side of the field and back)
  • E- Elevens (Dips, Squats) We only got about half way through before 6:15 was called and moseyed back to the flag.

COT:

  • Grammar’s dad
  • Storm Recovery

BOM:

  • The only way to get better at something is to constantly work at it. For YHC, that is running. Never stop working to better yourself in all aspects of your life. “To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift” Steve Prefontaine

Isaiah 41:10:

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
