Something simply ‘wet’  was on the agenda as the cold gloom was upon us as men gathered in anticipation of the beat down. Small men in a big community was part of our challenge ahead of us as we salt to become lighter in a world that needs HIM. No FNG’s. And, we are off like a dirty shirt.

We began with Our Pledge of Allegiance. SSH. Arm Circles Forward and Backward. Abe Vigoda (Slow Wind Mills). Moseyed to the Football Field where ‘Cups’ were awaiting, mumble chatter and good fellowship……….in the wet grass!!!

THANG went further like this: Run 20 yards. 20 Diamond Merkins, then back to the starting line. Run 40 yards, 30 Ranger Merkins, then back to the starting line. Run 50 yards, 40 Carolina Dry docks, then back to the starting line and planked for the 6.

Nest up: Bear Crawl 20 yards, do a one Burpee. Lunge 20 yards, do one Burpee. Crawl Bear 20 yards, do one Burpee…Now Bear Crawl back to the Starting Line (goal line). Counted off by 2’s. Each team would plank shoulder to shoulder; the one at the start would count to 10 then move to the front of their line, then the other member would do a 10 count and move: sorta like a Indian Run. We did 100 yards of this one. String Bean had ‘special tunes’ mixed in his musical count!!! Great Stuff.

Coming from the Goal line, each team completed their own tunnel crawl for 50 yards. And, since we were, “In the wet grass”. Multiple PAX led in variations of Merkins (Stallion, Minnesota, for counts of at least 15. Superman was calling Glow Worm. And he delivered, in the wet grass.

Each PAX then had a rotation of completing a weighted Burpee of 30 pounds each man.. We took a lap around the track. Gathered our tracks, cups, coats and headed back to the ‘snap-on’ shovel flag. 9 strong showed and some chatter asked, “Where was LilMermaid?’ YHC commended him in having to attend and be part of training. Then another responded, “At 5:30….” LOL.

6:15. YHC prayed us out: YHC’s niece Jaime-recovery from double mastectomy. String’s M, finding a benign bump. King Pin further treatments. Our Nation. The OBX. Our Men who are hurting and the ability and strength to reach out to another. Our teens.

Twitter Jim shared something learned from where he posted Saturday, that an inspiring idea was presented in the beginning, in the middle and at the end of a work-out. I piggy-backed this idea to consider using what Noah rode in…an ARK:                               Actsof Random Kindness

Jim is Q tomorrow running whomever likes to run. Certainly not at the Clydesdales………..

Love you guys.

Cold-Cut….OUT!!
