Nice Body brought up the reminder of the possibility of Ultimate Football since it was the last Saturday of the month. YHC confirmed it and Lachey put out the request for a Q. YHC gave others a chance to step up and handle the PAX that would come with their 2.0’s to get their game on, but it in the end YHC couldn’t hold out any longer. YHC asked the Site Q’s+ about possible headbands and there were none to be found. Almost forgot till late last night, but stopped at the good ole Dollar Tree. We arrived to #TheGloom that was thick; we were unsure when it would burn off, so decided that maybe warming up the PAX would burn off #TheGloom (as it does in life). Asked the PAX to bring #ShovelFlags for the boundaries and several showed. There was a short fence in the outfield that we used for the sideline. Hokie showed up right when we were ready to get rolling, of course he had cones (remember his Q’s). The PAX were ready to play so the warm-up was on…

The Thang

YHC had the PAX lineup smallest to tallest to determine teams.

The PAX were given the ravebands/headbands and they took the walk.

This is about the time YHC realized that he didn’t give game instructions. Gave a quick update to our team and heard Hokie letting the other team know. Some directions were updated during the game, mainly to have a 2.0 involved in a TD.

Several TD’s were put on the board by the winning team before the other would sniff the endzone. Burpees, Merkins, and WWI Sit-ups were completed with plenty of #Mumblechatter! The PAX were now plenty wet and it was on!

The other team made some good runs, but Nice Body didn’t come with Nice Hands. He eventually got the catches down, but the throwing took a little longer. Bo, Smell Goods, & Spur got very involved on the offensive side for their team. Acorn was busy talking trash with his dad and only played mainly defense.

Lachey conned the other teams into throwing into his coverage, eventually they learned not to do so. Muggsy began to heat up and catch some TD’s. Scampi and Durantualla caught the short passes to advance our team down the field.

Plankjacks, squats, donkey kicks, WWI Sit-ups, and American Hammer were some of the exercises that were completed after TD’s.

BOM

Papa Smurf and his battle with ALS.

Steamy as he recovers from surgery.

YHC closed us in prayer.

COT

Coffeteria was to be at McDonald’s on Firetower and Charles.

The PAX would then work on the adopted stretch of Hwy 43 for clean-up.

YHC has the Q the next 2 days (another plank of sorts).

Moleskin

It was really great to have both of my boys there this am. They both were quite involved in the game so that left them with a great feeling. It was great to have the other 2.0’s there and to see them having a great time. It’s all what being a dad is all about.

The headbands were joked that maybe I had them left over from a previous rave. I’d break out the dance moves if I had some, but I don’t…
