Nice brisk morning at the #116 with 9 for an EC Ruck. We logged a total of 3.33 miles and got back to the flag a little before 0700. 7 more PAX joined the workout so we had a total of 16 for the beatdown. We did have an FNR, Allen Sykes. Allen came from 1 1/2hrs away to ruck with us so major T-Claps and T-Claps to Show Boat for bringing him out. He also came with his own nickname, “Peanut,” so welcome Butta’ to F3 ENC!

YHC did a short disclaimer and it was time to start. YHC broke the PAX into teams of 5 (one team had 6). YHC then mentioned to the PAX that the other day, America lost a Hollywood legend from the 90s; Tom Lister Jr., better known as “Deebo” in the movie “Friday,” passed away at the age of 62. “Friday” was a legendary movie back when YHC was in high school and Deebo was one of those characters you just remember. YHC wanted to take this beatdown to remember Deebo, so PAX made a right hand turn out of #116 into West Greenville and made our way towards the old Pitt Hospital building on 5th Street. On our way, we did not run into any bikes or gold chains so no Deebo sightings ;)

Once we got to the old hospital, there was a nice patch of grass that YHC thought would be good for the beatdown. PAX would stay in their teams; one PAX would mosey roughly the length of the grass and back (roughly 225 yards) while the other PAX would AMRAP a series of exercises. Once the running PAX made his way back, another PAX would take off and the exercises would change and the AMRAP would begin again. The exercises were as follows;

D- Del Brown (10 Merkins, 25 yard crab walk. Rinse & Repeat)

E- Elf on the Shelf

E- Erkins (ruck on)

B- Big Boy Situps (ruck on front)

O- Overhead Press (ruck overhead)

Most teams were able to complete 3 rounds of the “Deebo” workout before making our way back to the flag via 5th Street. Got back to the flag a little after 0800 for COT.
