Truly an honor to Q at A Boy Named Sue.

Thank you for the Opportunity, Cousin IT.

YHC knew immediately that the number one plan was to give a guided tour of the Covenant Disc Golf Course- a beloved patch of land to YHC here in Pitt County.

Instructions were given to bring a coupon and a headlamp. Some brought rucks, some brought kettlebells, some brought both. And we had enough light to make it through the woods and over the bridges with no out of bounds penalties!

We traveled to each tee pad, where YHC gave a description of the hole – then we would tote our coupons to the basket, ring the chains, and engage in some exercises. We would add an exercise to on each hole, and YHC called on brothers to step up and lead the cadence. Here is how it worked out.

  1. Deconstructed Burpee OYO
  2. 4 Count Kettle Bell Merkins – Grammar
  3. Slow and Low RDL’s – Abu
  4. Row, Clean Press – YHC
  5. Russian Swings – Patch
  6. Goblet Squats – S’Mores
  7. Curls – Hometown
  8. Tricep extensions – Lynard Synyrd
  9. Ultimate Warrior Gorilla Press – Fin

It was a beautiful morning for the tour. Looking forward to the Back 9!!!

Name-O-Rama, COT, and prayer led by YHC.

Moleskin:

YHC has been playing Disc Golf for over 25 years. Tons of wonderful memories, especially lately with a good friend and our 2.0’s battling out doubles. The sport has really taken off over the last couple of years, with ESPN finally airing an event at the end of 2020. You can buy a couple of used discs at Play it Again Sports for less than $20, there are no green fees, and it only takes an hour to play a quick round! You need to check it out, and YHC is always game if you would like some company!

Highlight of today was shuffling 500 feet with kettlebells overhead. Bono and MaBell led the charge. I put them down for a birdie.

Sling ’em long and straight, boys!
