As is customary for YHC, my back blast is a wee bit late. With that in mind, YHC will keep the extraneous commentary to a minimum. Here is how things went down:

Warm Up

  • Good Mornings IC
  • Don Quixote’s IC
  • SSH IC
  • Solo Burpee

Thang

  • Indian Run x 1 lap (1/2 mile to top of Mount Boyd Lee)
  • Top of Hill –> Merkins x 10 OYO
  • Mosey to base of Hill –> Merkins x 10 OYO
  • Lt Dan to top of hill
  • Rinse and repeat x 2
  • Mosey to Picnic Shelter
  • 7’s consisting of Dips and Derkins stepping up and over picnic tables between exercises
  • Mosey to small ballfield –> People’s Chair for 10-count (2-sets)
  • Mosey back to flag
  • Sprints (4 x jailbreak; 2 x slow mosey; 2 x walk)

COT

After some initial mumble-chatter regarding the worthiness of Good Mornings as an exercise, to which YHC reminded the Pax that Good Mornings are more properly considered a stretch and not an exercise…yet I digress, the PAX soon got down to trying to breathe in the hot and humid atmosphere even at early time of 0530. All in all, the workout was a good balance, IMO, between strenuous and not too terrible.
