4 PAX joined in for a little BLP EC Ruck at 0440 and logged 2.8 miles. Got back to the flag and had a total of 16 PAX; combination of bootcamp, Mallwalkers and Patch brought some PAX over after Pray First. YHC has to Q twice this week and since it’s the week of GrowRuck, YHC had one goal in mind… offer a quality beatdown without getting any PAX hurt before this weekend. Several months back YHC saw a workout from another AO out of state and kept it on my phone but never used it, until today!

The Thang

After the warmup, YHC instructed the PAX to mosey to the baseball field. Lots of mumble chatter about bearcrawling to the foul pole, etc. but with the “no injury week” in mind, YHC told the PAX that there would be no bearcrawl today but would introduce the PAX to the Nordic Challenge. With this challenge, PAX would complete a new exercise each round and after each exercise, run a lap before starting the next exercise. The reps would start at 10 and each exercise would increase by 10. YHC did not think PAX could complete the entire challenge running a lap each time around BLP so that was the reason we hit the baseball field. Exercises would be at home plate and for the lap, we would take off down the first base line to the foul pole, run the length of the outfield fence to the left field foul pole, then back down the third base line to home plate. A different PAX member would lead the exercise and PAX would stay together (for the most part) during the run and come back for the six before beginning the next exercise. The Nordic Challenge included;
