It was a crisp, cold morning…actually Snookie was thinking he balls almost froze off. 16 studs showed up at BLP for Buildup. Today was simple – we buildup muscles, by wearing out a muscle group and then wearing out the abs while the other muscles recover. This is how things went down.

Warmup – Bono tapped into his MSU degree for this one. It was purposefully not planned ahead, but probably included SSH, Merkins, Squats, and some Burpees IC. Those things suck.

The Thang – 7s and 11s rock. They suck, they wear out muscle groups. Here’s what we did

  • 7s at the playground – Pullups and Step-ups
  • WWII Situps for the 6
  • 11’s at the Circle Drive – Burpees and Merkins
  • WWI Situps for the 6
  • 15s at the wall of the gym – Squats and Jang-a-Langs (wall merkin)
  • SSH for the 6
  • 7 reps x 3 in the grass in front of the gym – Jump Squats & Jump Lunges

COT/BOM – Prayers for Pied Piper. He is home from back surgery and has his slippers on and two dogs at his feet.

Sometimes in life the simple things, the oldies but goodies, are worth bringing back into the fold. 7s and 11s allow the studs to push and the Clydesdales to mosey. It allows silence when guys are spent and 2nd F mumble chatter when they can breathe. 7/11s can be a hip pocket Q trick that always brings the pain.
