YHC was out of town for the Memorial Day weekend and missed the MURPH. So YHC decided to stick with the theme of honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our great country. It went something like this:
- Seal Claps (IC)
- Good Mornings
- Don Quixote’s
- Circle Burpees
Today we honored US Army Staff Sergeant Edwardo Loredo, 34 of Houston, TX. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, based out of Fort Bragg, NC. He was KIA June 24, 2010 in Jelewar, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with an IED. He is survived by his wife, First Sergeant Jennifer Loredo; his daughter, Laura Isabelle; Step-daughter, Alexis; and son, Eduardo Enrique.
The WOD in his honor goes like this:
- 6x( 24 Squats, 24 Merkins, 24 Lunges, 400 Meter Run)
We circled up for mary and went around the circle til’ 6:15
- EOG testing for students, teachers and parents!
- Psycho’s wife’s grandfather in hospital with leg trouble.
- Loss of Gazelle’s grandmother.
There are many things we can do to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the defense of our freedom. But one thing that really puts things into perspective is the intense training our service men and women go through. May their sacrifices never be forgotten!
John 15:13 – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
