YHC was tapped by Shortstop to Q this morning while Shortstop is in Greenville for a Q and Convergence. In preparation, I remembered Stabler leading us through Bear Crawls and a Billy Madison workout so I incorporated both today and used the F3 card deck to guide out exercises. We welcomed 3 FNGs this morning, which worked out well with plans to cover the principles during the warm-up. We welcomed, gave the disclaimer and off we went:

Warm-up

SSS x15IC

Imperial walkers x15IC

Al Gores while reviewing the F3 Core Principles

Merkins x10IC

Abe Vigodas x11IC

Burpees x5 OYO

The Thang

Count off 1-2s and mosey to the batting cage

1s bear crawl sideways around batting cage, alternating sides halfway

2s bear crawl a larger perimeter forward for half and backwards for half

1 lap, then switch

Mosey to the T-ballfield for Billy Madison

YHC used the card deck to select the exercise with 1 rep for first grade. YHC asked a PAX for a number 1-30 and counted out cards to that number to draw the second card the repeat first exercise x2 and new exercise x2, continue to 12. Running around infield in between each grade. Exercises included: Merkins, LBCs, American Hammers, Arm circles, Monkey Humpers, Low plank, Calf raises, Standing Lunges, Butt kickers, and Low, Slow Squats. Due to time, we only completed 10th grade and adjusted some of the running and cadence near the end for time purposes. I’d still give each of these HIMs a diploma for all of their hard work!

We cooled down with a mosey jog back to the flag which needed moving because of a softball tourney getting started as we were finishing up. One of the FNGs, Blake, rolled his ankle stepping on a large stick on the way back to the flag and went on home to ice and elevate. Hopefully and prayerfully, it is just a sprain and nothing worse. He said he would be back and we wish him a speedy recovery!

We ended with the COT:
