Bataan Memorial Death March

8 PAX met this morning at 0530 at #TheSchoolYard to knock out 14.2 miles for GoRuck’s Bataan Memorial Death March.YHC volunteered to map out the route and promised that there would be no extra laps in the Aycock parking lot. Left the SchoolYard and got on Greenville Blvd and headed to Elm Street. Right on Elm and hopped on the Greenway. Took the Greenway all the way to the Town Commons and then made our way to #TheStorm.Took 3rd Street all the way to Memorial and made a right on 5th Street. Left onto Arlington. Made our traditional mobile Starbucks order in honor of Noonan and then continued on the long stretch of Arlington all the way back to Greenville Blvd. Left on Greenville Blvd all the way to The Memorial Baptist Church. Went through the church parking lot and then through the neighborhood behind the church and made our way back onto Red Banks. One lap around the Aycock by the bus parking lot and back to the cars right at 14.2 miles.

Kept a pretty strong pace for a group of around 14:35 per mile pace and had two PAX (Underdog and Stern) who set PRs for mileage… strong work by those two dudes! Logged some decent miles with good buddies, checked off another challenge and get a sweet looking patch for it. Not bad for a Sunday morning! Until next time…
