For our 2nd BRR Ruck Training workout, I decided to incorporate a GORUCK June event and commemorate the 77th anniversary of D-Day and the soldiers who fought for our country.  The requirement was to ruck 7.7 miles.  We ended up with 9 miles. Patches will be handed out to those who came.

Here’s the route:

Start at Elm St parking lot at 530 am and headed up Elm Street to 14th.  Took a right on 14th and headed towards Evans St.  Missed the turn on Evans so we took the next street up and took a right to 10th street.  We took a left on 10th street, went over the nipple, and all the way to Arlington by the hospital.  We went down Arlington and circled around the hospital, coming up on Emergency Dr. towards Statonsburg.  We went back on Statonsburg to 10th, this time with a run/shuffle over the nibble, until we reached the Science and Tech bldg.  At the Sci-Tech building, we went up the stairs stopping for 5 squats on each flat then back down. We repeated on the other side of the building then headed back towards Elm Street parking lot (with legs burning).

Total miles = 9.0

We had good chatter, got to visit (but not stop at the hospital), and we built up our legs this morning.

Thanks to all that came.  Have a great day!
