Decided to try and shake it up a little with the Friday Bootcamp Q’s and do a Q swap.
So YHC got to First Aid where many PAX were asking me where I hid the whiteboard this time. Well thought I would keep it fresh and brang my F3 Workout cards.
Clock hit 5:30 and disclaimer given.
Mall Walkers went and did their thing.

Warm Up:
20 – SSH IC
10 – Cotton Pickers IC
10 – Don Quixotes IC

The Thang:
We needed to get from the flag to the trail where most of the exercises would take place, but had to go across the parking lot to get there. Only way to get across was by completing 1 Merkin then 2 Broadjumps. Then 2 Merkins and 4 broadjumps. and you get the picture how the rest went down.
When we got to the trail each PAX would get their turn to pick a card from the workout deck. We would complete that exercise and then mosey to the next set of trees. Pick a new card, do that exercise and also go back and do the prior exercise. Mosey up to the 3rd set of trees and continue to do the new exercise along with the prior exercise. And so on.
Here are the cards that were picked in no particular order:
8 of Clubs – LUGE (Q passed on this one as was not aware how to properly perform this)**
Q of Hearts – BURBEE (25)
8 of Diamonds – MERKIN (18)
3 of Clubs – HIGH, SLOW FLUTTER KICK (13)
10 of Hearts – BUTT KICK (20)
Ace of Clubs – FLUTTER KICKS (100)
9 of Diamonds – RANGER MERKIN (18)
9 of Hearts – HIGH KNEE (19)
8 of Hearts – SQUAT THRUST (18)
Ace of Spades – CALF RAISE (100)
7 of Diamonds – DERKIN (17)

Mosey back to flag the long way for COT. 15 PAX present.

YHC came up with the Q swap idea back in Feb but Pulp and Newfie were so on the ball they already had Q’s lined up for like 8 weeks. We finally decided on today’s date and put it on the calendar. I think it was very successful and will plan to do this again down the road. Fridays have the most workouts of any day so PAX have many choices. Many choose to go to the place closest to them and others will go because of the Q or another PAX member saying they are posting somewhere and you want to post with them. All that is good but I did not really feel I was big part of F3 until I started posting at different places. I posted at Boyd Lee Park only for almost 8 months. I would hear guys talk about so and so and it got me interested in meeting them too. So I made the decision to make an effort to post at every location. I started with other bootcamps and eventually rucks but was still a little scared to go to Running AOs. I was running on my own several days a week but did not know how I would fit in with those guys as most intimindated me cause I had heard how fast they all were. Most of them were not posting at bootcamps so I did not really know them. And lets face it, I might run, but do not really fit the runners mold (or most molds to tell the truth). I finally got the courage up and posted at the Rush for the first time. This took me 13 months from my first post to do this. I got the looks from the others like this is not going to end well for Redbox so lets see what happens. Well what happened was I loved it. Even though just about everyone is faster than me, I was still able to improve my pace (which I plateaued running OYO) and am always encouraged by others to keep going and to push it. I started to fit in with these guys (the runners) and was honestly ready to give up posting anywhere else. But I still kept mixing in bootcamps and running and find it a good mix. Many of the runners will not show up to bootcamps for several reasons but I really wish they would. Bootcamps are really the core of F3 but I understand why they do not. I will keep encouraging others to step out of their comfort zone and see for themselves what else is out there. You never know, you might just like it.

From flat on your back, raise both your head and upper back and feet off the ground. From here, bring your knees and chest together, then return to the starting position.
