I showed up early to plant the shovel flag and found Cold-Cut was already at DFS rucking his way around (He confirmed he was doing EC and began at 4:40).  Between so many good options today to post, potential holiday travel conflicts, and a wet forecast; I wondered how many might show up.  I at least knew upon arrival I would not be alone.  Prior to start time, 2 more arrived – Slim Jim & Punch Out.

It was 5:30 – we circled up and disclaimer was given.  I shared for any unaware (Twitterless and Slackless Slim Jim) today is my birthday.  I turn a prime number (47) and that today’s reps would all be a prime number (or at least that would be the plan).  So we began…

Warm-ups: Merkins x17, Squats x17, Plank Jacks x17 and then a Follow Me: we moseyed up both (2) flights of stairs on each side of the Murphy Center and continued on to Gate 2 on the other side of the stadium.  Here we did another set of Merkins x13, Copperhead Squats x13, Plank Jacks x13.  Since these are the components to Burpees and 8-Count Body Builders, we then did Burpees x7 and 8-Count Body Builders x7.  With warm-up complete we did a few minutes of “Panther stretches”.

From Gate 2 we moseyed back around to the other side of the stadium where the entrance to the parking lot and stadium meet. At that “corner” begins a long line of light posts along the stadium sidewalk – 19 total light posts in all with the last (19th) being back at the shovel flag.  So, the Thang was to do exercises at each light post and then Bear Crawl from light post to light post.  As with the warm-ups, most all exercises were in cadence (there was a moment of exhaustive mumble chatter where we did a set or two exercises OYO).

Merkins x13 >> BearCrawl >>> Plank Jacks x17 >> Bear Crawl >>> Copperhead Squats x19 >> Bear Crawl >>> Burpees x7 >> Bear Crawl >>> 8-Count Body Builders x7 >> Bear Crawl >>> Staggered Merkins (switching staggered hands mid-way) x11 >> Bear Crawl >>> Jump Squats x11 >> Bear Crawl >>> Plank Jacks x13 >> Bear Crawl >>> Burpees x7 >> Bear Crawl >>> 8-Count Body Builders x7 >> Bear Crawl >>> Imperial Walkers x29 >> Bear Crawl >>> w/benches by Gate, Dips x19 >> Bear Crawl >>> WWIIs x17 >> Bear Crawl >>> Merkins x11 >> Bear Crawl >>> Squats x13 >> Bear Crawl >>> Plank Jacks x17 >> Bear Crawl >>> Burpees x7 >> Bear Crawl >>> 8-Count Body Builders x7 >> Bear Crawl >>> Final light post back at shovel flag: Burpees x2 & 8-Count Body Builders x2

We concluded the time remaining with 30 second count of feet 6-inches off the ground led by Cold-Cut.

COT/BOM: Prayer concerns: Holiday stressors – mental well-being, Safe holiday travels (69 car pile up near Williamsburg, VA due to fog and interstate speeds on I-64), PAX dealing with employment search, as well, those with physical ailments not triggering mental ones.  Cold-Cut’s niece battling cancer/pending chemo treatments.  YHC prayed us out.

Thanks to Panther for sharing with me the opportunity to Q.

Moleskin:  Birthdays have long since not been that big of a deal for me, but it is a milestone nonetheless, and we do share our age every time during name-o-rama; so I wanted to have some kind of fun with it.  For me, tomorrow officially marks 6-months of posting with F3ENC Crossbones.  I was tempted to simply rinse and repeat Stern’s BB from 6/24/2019 (just to see how well i’d survive it this time around).  I was a FNG in that gloom and gassed like nobody’s business.  I didn’t toss any Merlot, but had to have been close.  In my youth, I was always active in some sport or activity (like slalom skiing during the summers) throughout the year.  As a result, in fairly good shape (nothing like Abu, Grout, Noonan (and many other HIMs), or even you runners who go far and fast with ease), but fit and able bodied nonetheless.  Sad Clown syndrome is real when adulthood takes away the regular activity that provides any level of fitness.  I was unaware of how real that is, but I am ooh so thankful for Stern (for head-locking me) and all you F3ENC HIMs for pushing me ever since. See you soon in the gloom, AYE!
