YHC apologies for the late Backblast.

Last week at the toughest AO in F3ENC (The Oval Office) only a select few of PAX members showed up.  We were expecting some more members to show but the humidity and heat most likely drove some away.  Either way, 0530 rolled around, the gate was unlocked, some already got some laps in, and it was time to…

WARM-UP

800m (2 x Laps)

THE THANG

In preparation for BRR, the PAX have been slowly increasing the intensity distance.  That day was no different.  The PAX were challenged with running 8 x 800m (600m at 85-90% with the last 200m at 100%) and a 400m recovery between sets.  Most of the PAX were able to complete 6 to 7 sets due to time.  Some PAX even ran their last few sets after the beatdown was completed.

When it is hot and humid outside, it takes true grit and determination to show up and work hard.  Hardly anyone likes to be out of breath, sweat, and feel completely exhausted in the heat and humidity.  It is uncomfortable!  However, that is what training is all about; being completely uncomfortable.  It will better prepare you for race day, game day, or whatever day you are training for.  So, continue training hard, have fun with it, and always set goals for where you want to be.  I hope everyone has a blessed day.
