YHC along with a good sized group of other F3ENC PAX have agreed to sign up and run the Emerald Isle Marathon or Half Marathon together. The largest benefit, in my opinion, of signing up to run an event with your brothers is the training process that takes place. For me personally this is why I try to sign up for two big events each year. One in the spring and one in the fall. This keeps me motivated to push hard in the summer and winter months, times when it’s easiest to find an excuse not to workout. The relevance of all this info is that Fridays at the Oval Office has become one of my big three workouts for the week. The Oval Office is when I focus specifically on my speed and getting faster. Today was no different.
The Thang
The workout was simple but effective:
800m warm up
400m best pace followed by 400m cool down – rinse and repeat 8x
800m cool down
CoT
Ball of Man
Moleskin
It was great to have Stitches post today, welcome back Kotter! Stitches is my brother-in-law and he has had an on again off again relationship with F3 since 2015. He is a beast when in shape, and always mentally tough. I saw this man finish the Sasquatch multiple times, not because of good training but out of shear grit. If he stays committed he will be a force at the Sasquatch in 2020 (calling him out!)
Just the Tip and Punch Out (not as I have inaccurately been referring to him, Knock out)! So glad to have you join us at the Oval Office. I have seen both of you putting in a lot of work at F3. JTT, you specifically with over 100 posts in 2019. I know you two are strong, the Oval will make you fast!
