Not often do I get to Q Ruck Ready or a ruck workout in general, so when asked by Skynard I always try to say yes.  I have Q’ed countless AO’s and types of AO’s but a ruck workout is the one I am least familiar with.  I tried to think of other times I have posted here and incorporate some of the past exercises, so this is what I came up with!

The Thang:

Welcome Party:

No Surrender L-15 IC

No Surrender  R-15 IC

No Surrender Squats-10 IC

Shoulder Tap Merkins-15 IC

Mosey through the woods 2×2 stopping at the woods:

Bear Crawl for Have a Nice Day

Stop midway for 10 Merkins

Mosey to the second entrance of the woods:

15 Thrusters IC

15 Ruck Swings IC

Ruck Overhead through the woods, when Q yells burpee stop and do a burpee for 5 total

Get into groups of 3 and complete at a team:

75 pull-ups

100 Merkins

125- Squats

Some moseyed over to the picnic shelter with our group, and I guess doing the pull-ups on the bar were easier because they were done quicker then the guys in the shelter(YHC included)

Continue to Wintergreen for the beloved Crab Walk, then ruck back to the flag.

I was said I was UN-American for not starting with the pledge and getting right down to business so we finished with AMERICAN Hammers and then flutter kicks until 6:15

Prayer Requests:

String Bean and tough decisions he has to make.

Bench’s mom and brother

Heard this morning that Candy Cane’s grandfather passed away.

Johnny Davis the former AG baseball coach with Covid and recovering.

Announcements:

6 Year Anniversary coming up February 20th at Town Commons.  Breakfast will follow and will have a run, ruck or bootcamp option.

Moleskin:

Great group this morning of ruckers and am always glad to step out of my comfort zone and go to a ruck workout.  Thanks for the Q opportunity Skynard!
