Tonka is a hard working man. That doesn’t excuse us from joking on him for not being able to post for his Q. To give the man credit, he didn’t ask YHC to Q. I volunteered to take it. Mainly because a neighboring region posted the lexicon term for a Carrier Pigeon Q. This was the sign from the Sky Q. Tonka wrote the Q and then sent it by Courier Pigeon to be delivered by YHC. 11 studs showed up with sandbags for Tonkas workout.

The Thang

Split the Pax in two by lining up 2×2 with sandbags split between each line. This is a race between the two teams so treat it like one. Team Right vs Team Left.

Round 1 – Loop around the smaller circle through the woods (exclude the path at the front of the building). No sandbags this round. Send teams in opposite direction. This took about 8 min for the 3/4 mile. Once you return – Winner gets 6 burpees, 2nd place gets 12. Team Left was victorious this round.

Round Two – Load the teams with equal number of sandbags and run it again. Same burpees penalty. Team Right smoked it this time. Everyone does the following reps:

  • 15 Merkins
  • 15 Jazz Hand Squats
  • 15 Pull-ups
  • 15 Ruck Swings

Round Three – Run it again with equal number of sandbags. Team Right won again and the burpee penalty was cut in half for time. We moseyed to the flag and shortened the reps this time and completed the same exercises as above.

COT/BOM – Praise for Patch’s daughter. Prayer for students and teachers who went back to school.

Moleskin – This turned out to be a tough workout, or at least as tough as you pushed yourself. Speed Rucking is tough. Doing it with a sandbag takes a man past individual desire to keep going. You only push for your team.
