After much negotiation, Tortoise was able to secure a Q from YHC. He only had to commit himself and his pregnant wife to two hours of manual labor wrapping Christmas gifts, and agree to meet me at 4:45am, and run 10 miles at a sub 7:30 pace. Once all of the contractual obligations were agreed upon YHC mapped out a plan for the run.

The Thang

There would be two options. If you could hold a 7:30 pace or less you were instructed to choose option “A” (6.5 miles, follow the Greenway to Town Commons and come back via 10th St). If you were unsure you could do option “A”, you were instructed to choose option “B” (4.5 miles, follow the greenway to the dog park and come back via Elm St). If you chose option “A” and couldn’t keep pace know that we love you, but we are not coming back for you until after we get to the flag and go through the CoT. If you choose group B remember to go back for the six!

The plan went off seamlessly it was perfect. Everyone finished right when they were supposed to. If someone tells you otherwise don’t believe them. This workout was GREAT! I should know, I was there.

Moleskin

I learned today that after Tortious has taken a break from training and is coming off a sickness that he is slower. I will race him anytime, anywhere under those conditions, mark my words. Kick a man when he is down is my motto!
