A Mix of Papa Smurf and Fruity

Thanks Ratched for the op to q #Clydesdales!  Yhc never had the privilege to meet Papa Smurf, but his legacy lives strong with stories and testimonies from pax who knew this HIM.  So this workout was pulled directly from one of Papa’s old beatdowns with an added fruity flavor.  Almost missed the workout, slept through alarms, got in with a minute or two before time.  Yhc could see the workout Q trying to come up with a beatdown in his mind, but gave a big smile when yhc moseyed in.  Disclaimer given and off we went.

Warmups –

  1.  Pledge of Allegiance
  2. Papa Smurf’s stretches (10 count for each)- Right/Left Arm across body.  Right/Left arm behind head.
  3. SSH – 20 IC – 5 Burpee award for pax running late (won’t name any names)
  4. Merkins – 10 IC
  5. Good Mornings – 10 IC
  6. WW1’S – 10 IC

Thang –

  • Pax moseyed to near set of steps for a little bit of ladder action.  Merkins at the bottom and Squats at the top of steps.  1st set we started at 5 reps each.  Increased reps by 5 after each set, went to 15 reps.
  • Pax moseyed to Coop Stronghold at gate 6.  Hold People’s Chair for a pax 10 count.  BTTW with each pax 10 count.
  • Over to the concrete benches.  10 reps IC for a fruity variety!
    • Irkins, Dips, Bulgarian Split Squats, Dirkins, Benchtop WW2’s, Box Jumps, Mule Kicks.  (CC told yhc that Papa didn’t like mulekicks, yhc said that was a little fruity flavor)
  • Over to the longest stretch of parking lot god for the Finisher!  Titanic suggested the bb be named mortal kombat after this set.
    • At every line, increase the reps by 1, alternating between Jump Squats and Merkins.  30 Lines = 225 Jump Squats, 240 Merkins.  Patch is a BEAST performing all Merkins with a messed up pec!
  • Line up for a little run back to the flag.  Mayhem led the pax around the lot back to the flag.
  • Papa Smurf’s cool down stretches – While on our 6’s – Right knee towards chest, Left knee towards chest.  6:15
