The 3rd Core Principle of F3 is that workouts must be held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold. It’s designed to make sure the men of F3 do something difficult to start each day, or what Mark Twain calls “Eat the Frog.”  We workout outside to make us durable. That way when the unexpected happens while driving 47 minutes to a workout in a neighboring region, we don’t mind standing for an hour in freezing weather to take care of civilians involved in a 5 car accident caused by ice. Being durable, means that we can handle the cold, the tropical storms, the fog, the blistering heat, or like today, an absolute downpour. 20 studs posted at The Commons during a Memorial Day holiday weekend. Most stayed afterwards for QSource at The Bunker. We all became more durable.

The Route: we ran an Anvil. It started at the flag and progressed down 1st to 5th. Left on 5th to 10th. Right on 10th to Elm. Up the Elm hill to 14th. Right on 14th to Evans. Back to the flag. The fast pax got a surprise running the hill from the Willis building up Summit St. Only the strongest made it up to the top today.

BOM: Praise for Silverado’s 1-yr maniversary.  Prayers for brother Bob a friend of Cold Cuts, and Shannon, a friend of Ricky Bobby.

Moleskin: Today was fun. It was rainy, much cooler than the run yesterday. The planned route was 5.63 miles. Figured we needed something at the end to keep the faster pax engaged, so YHC scouted out the hill from Willis Building up Summit St. Of course, YHC called it “a surprise” and Tonka warned the pax that the last time, I offered a surprise to the pax, I showed my wiener. Lies. All lies.  Today was a rainy day, but it was like Adult Recess. Today was fun. Today we became more durable.
