It was rainy today, so the clock hit 0530 and the 8 Ruckers took off. YHC asked, who’s the Q and the response was my brother from another mother, who is normally driving in on 2 wheels. Rafiki mentioned taking a lap around the Commons to give the Q a chance to get here. YHC decided about 1/4 the way that there was a Ghost Q that needed to be revealed, so when the Q was not there, the Follow Me request was made and 10 men headed towards the new parking deck at the Town Commons.
We made four laps up the deck – it was a big and long deck – inappropriate comments were made. 1st lap was a mid-speed mosey to get the lay of the land and how to circle at the top for the 6. 2nd Lap was running frontwards one section and backwards the next. The 3rd lap was to race a partner. The fourth was to run down. We then moseyed to the 4th St deck because some guys can’t handle the big deck and need a small one like normal.
After handling that big ECU deck, the 4th St deck seemed small until we ran up it three times. 1st with a frontwards run up one section, backwards up the next section lap. The next lap up was to sprint up one and mosey one. The final lap was supposed to be one where the fastest men ran to the top and then collected everyone on the way down – men were tired, the Q didn’t explain it – that was a cluster. We then moseyed back to the flag where we spotted Floater, who joined us for the last bit and then took off for more miles after the COT.
Moleskin – Happy Birthday to Floater on Monday. He turns 61. That means we had two Double Respects out running this am. They are both studs.
The COT was brief today with prayers for Pied Piper’s back surgery on Monday. Today was a ghost Q, but it was a fun Q. The best part of the workout was where T-Bone started the Name-o-rama with his One Word. Here are the words of the guys who posted today:
