Why “Leading Up”?

1.) YHC has been the 6 on every Run AO since being a member of F3. Being asked to lead a group of HIM’s who are all more advanced than YHC may seem counterintuitive. But the principle is called Leading Up.

2.) Chapter 10 of the book “Extreme Ownership” written by Jocko Willink, is aptly named, “Leading Up and Down The Chain of Command.” This is YHC’s favorite chapter, specifically the content about “leading up”. The Chapter teaches about the importance (and willingness) of leading where you are at, with what you have. It provides examples, and today’s workout certainly fit the bill.

3.) Well, that would be… THE THANG — YHC led 10 PAX UP Arlington Blvd to get after what they came for.
