YHC has owed Shake and Bake a Q for months and I finally was blessed with the opportunity to lead the PAX the on Christmas Eve.  Some PAX showed up for Blackops to get the motor running for The Thang.

The Thang:

It was a simple day at TheSandLot.  Out and back for 22 mins.  We took Railroad Rd down to Beacon, then found our way to the meat cooker of Sam Jones. Grammar and Gazelle were rolling in the front the whole way as they wanted to Tempo run this mornings workout.  Tonka was drooling over the smoked meat smell. As YHC and Shake and Bake hit Sam Jones and were heading back we past Fruity Pebbles who was stretching out his calves.  He told us to keep rolling and he was fine.  Strong man with grit as he had 2 miles to go which he finishes strong. YHC went on and I was in a short stretch of complete dark road and saw Bono.  After some mumble chatter he took off like a bullet as he is trying to build that endurance back up.  YHC ran with him until I got to a Stop sign and wanted to circle back to check on the PAX while the speedsters were still rolling. As YHC circled back there was a huge dude with festive tights running like a mad man, no fear it was only Cable and chasing him down was NoIDeer running smooth and steady.  As YHC sped to the 6 I past 2 PAX telling me not to go any further because they were the 6 which surprised me because they were rolling with speed and it was Aquaman and Silverback.  As I took back off to the front I could hear someone talking while running and I wasn’t surprised to find Half-Pipe in the darkness chatting it up with Spalding.  No doubt they talked the entire 45 minutes of the run. As I snuck past them I saw a PAX running hard, which made it hard for me to catch up.  Here we are 4 miles into a run and Sparks was rolling smooth and fast.  As YHC was approaching the last turn I was running hard as I could to get back to the AO which brought me to 1 more PAX.  Mr Consistent Cousin It.

Prayer Requests:

Our brother Underdog was in the hospital with some issues.  No surgery was needed but prayers are.

Novocain’s 2.0 has the flu prayers she gets better before the big man comes

Cables Mother in Law has colon cancer and had a co-worker who is battling some substance abuse

Families battling sickness and lost loved ones as we enter Christmas

Moleskin:

Yesterday YHC joined a Boy Named Sue.  I promised my brother Grammar I would post for his birthday.  I don’t do any weight training.  Lifting a 25lb KB was rough.  But I couldn’t have done it without the encouragement of my fellow brothers. Most I usually run with but it was my first beatdown with Candycane. I realized by going I was able to post and endure sweat, aches, and pains with someone new. As a runner I enjoy watching the growth of the runners in the PAX.  We have guys posting now that weren’t runners but are balancing out their first F, but without knowing their 2nd F is being sharpened as there are different PAX at run AO’s then bootcamp AOs.  With that comes more fellowship only making us stronger. I encourage you to step out of some comfort zones and join a bootcamp or a run.  You will become stronger more then you would know.
