YHC reached out to Shake and Bake sometime in early November to grab a date to Q at the Sandlot as some internal motivation to continue to get better at running. The day finally came, and YHC had a plan, and it went something like this.

Tha Thang

YHC explained that we were going to take something out of the Rucker’s playbook, and we were going to have our own mini “star course” throughout parts of Winterville. The goal is to run to the designated spot, and circle back for the six. Once all made it to the location, the next location would be given. We had a total of 5 locations to hit, two we took off running. The locations were:

  • The US Army Reserves Building – Mill Street
  • Winterville Library – Railroad Street
  • WH Robinson Elementary – Railroad Street
  • Winterville Post Office – Main Street
  • Winterville Free Will Baptist Church – Cooper St
  • Back to the Sandlot

Everyone got anywhere from 4.1 to 5.8 miles that morning. Great work men!

YHC Prayed us out

Moleskin

This is a Q that YHC had been worried about, even though YHC requested it. First ever run Qm and it was tough for sure. Knowing that YHC is the slowest runner out there, it was tough to come up with a good route that caters to both the fast and the slow guys. YHC had the idea for the star course route for a while, and finally got it a point where everyone should be able to finish on time and with enough mileage. Thanks for the opportunity to lead Shake and Bake!

Chimi Out!
