The Thang:

After moseying to the track Kool-Aid informed the PAX that we would be going 4 corners.  In the short stretch we were to lunge from corner to corner and run through the long stretch.  Round 1 we did WWII’s in each corner starting with 10 and increasing by 10 until we did 40 in corner 4.  Round 2 we did Merkins in each corner starting with 10 and increasing to 40 again.  At the end of round 2 the Q called an audible and instructed the PAX to run 1 more lap to make sure they were warmed up.

After 4 corners and plenty of mumble chatter we moseyed to the hill near the bus parking area.  For his 13th birthday he decided we should do 13’s.  At the bottom of the hill we did donkey kicks and at the top we did squats.  We were to crab walk or walk crab up the hill and crawl bear back down.  Before all the PAX were finished the Q called recover, instructed the PAX to follow Stabler back to the flag where he turned over the last 5 minutes to Stabler to add something special at the end.

At the curbing of the drive, Stabler described an exercise that he and Pulp had discussed before 5:30.  He called it Zombie Bear Crawl because YHC was unsure of the name.  The real name of the exercise is called Wounded Bear Crawl and it’s where you bear crawl with one hand and foot on the drive and the others on the curbing and when you perform it you truly feel wounded.  Roughly 20 yards down, 20 yards back and it was head to the flag!

Moleskin:

Kool-Aid was excited to see so many HIM’s there this morning and he wanted YHC to tell you thank you for supporting him.  He knows that some may not want to listen to a 2.0 or even give him a chance and it means the world to him to have your support.  The mumble chatter 20 minutes in is just a bonus for him!

YHC overheard a couple of brothers who didn’t know about Kool-Aid and I must say they were a little surprised that a Kool-Aid workout was the real deal.  YHC is proud to call this 2.0 mini-HIM my son and I can’t wait until he takes the lead again!
