-Disclaimer in addition to sharing that the Q was not a professional, YHC, in a moment of vulnerability admitted that he didn’t plan the workout ahead, but got up at 5 am and started to build a CYA plan – not ideal.  Challenged by wanting to balance movement and finding cover from rain and providing a worthy beatdown, YHC scoured the F3 site for ideas and confessed to having a winkie and not fully sure how it would be executed. But expressed confidence together the pax would be served well.

However a great by-product of this procrastination and research on F3 site resulted in YHC reminding the pax of the 5 F3 principals as well as the importance and psychology of cadence counting.  As the pax grows and changes it’s worthy to review this. Reading one of Bono’s past BB, it was reinforced to review the basics of Qing.

– A moment of house keeping – there was previous mumble chatter about changing Saturdays to 45mins which may encourage more FNGs.  Q put it to a vote if today’s posting should be 45 mins.  Overwhelming response to keep it to one hour.  Overwhelming in such a way, it was only one pax that voted for 45mins… hmmm.  Perhaps a future vote with different Pax is in order?????

Mosey to Esturaium for covered area to dodge rain.

War Hammers – 10. + LL Cool Js-10 (Rinse and Repeat 3x) + Partner up for Pattycake Merkins (10). (Rinse and Repeat 2x)

Mosey down boardwalk to bench for Howling Monkeys and Catalina Wine Mixer.  Did one round of Howling Monkeys (each Pax counting to 5 around the circle for total of 60). At this point Q decided that pax weren’t ready to do CWM on the boardwalk so decided to find softer area – (fond memories from Patch leading these on top of picnic tables, elbows lost skin and hurt for days).

Mosey to grassy area of Esturaium of Catalina Wine Mixer (10 reps x 2) and another round of Howling Monkeys (Pax counting to 2 for 24 total)

Mosey to parking lot for Suicides –

– Q called out that this was the 45 min mark – good thing YHC had more planned… well some was made up on the fly…..

Mosey to Gazebo – it wasn’t raining at this time, but Q planned it for rain and by damn we were doing it.

Mosey back to gazebo for Mary – Peter Parkers, Crab Cakes, Parker Peters.

Double D suggested 25 burpees… which reminded the Q there were suppose to be 2 burpees as part of the warm up.  Pax did 2 burpees – as a workout isn’t complete without some burpees.

-YHC asked Pax if they got their money’s worth and all said Aye…. wouldn’t take much since all F3 workouts are Free– Check.  Also looking around the circle it was diverse group of men indicating the workout was Open to All Men.  All workouts held outdoors rain or shine, heat or cold…. we got wet… Check!   Led by men in rotating fashion with no training or certification — Check.  Ended with COT— Check
